You know it’s bad when your sixth graders say “I hope it’s not another snow day tomorrow”
The record-breaking snow continues… Not sure how much we got last night, but I can tell you that my car wasn’t able to leave the driveway so I had to run to work. Wearing knee-high gaiters and spikes on my shoes, of course (the roads were somewhat plowed but I needed the gaiters to get out of my driveway). Today was Snow Day #10 for the kids…
We have no heat in our office (but the power works, so Mone’ brought us a space heater). My neighbor had to crawl out her window because the plow guy sprayed snow on her front deck and blocked her door from opening. I can’t find my mailbox.
It’s crazy here, but we love it. Here are some pics from my run to work this morning.

And there we were, at work, huddled around the space heater. None of the HVAC people could get to us, so I called on a friend, and JP (Prince Electric) made a special trip over to fix the furnace. As the office began to heat up, the sun came out, and my run home was even more spectacular…
California 89 store again… this time a little more cheerfulstopped by the train depot to see how they were holding uptrain coming into town with some crazy puffy clouds hiding Mt. These photos are great and wonderful therapy for me as I had major knee surgery 10 days ago and am somewhat house bound! Molly and I own the building on DPR right in front of your office! Hope to be able to say hi sometime!!

Wow! I’m Lauren Lake’s cousin-in-law (if that’s a thing 😉.) I live in CO now, but grew up spending a lot of time at my grandma’s place in Sierra Meadows and skiing at Squaw. I love all these pics! They make me want to go back!
Last June I was passing thru thru Truckee…so many great memories…The Bar Of America..
I was sitting outside eating lunch,just about where you were standing to take that photo! Oh my A LOT of snow !!!! Beautiful pictures!

I am here in NJ cruising FB for Truckee visitor info. I was there during the Memorial Day week last year and fell in love with the area. Went to visit Andy Blanchard of Blue Tahoe Pottery in Truckee to make a purchase of his beautiful work. Looking to spend more time in the area on my next visit.
