trailrunning in the keweenaw

11 miles, 1,273 feet climbing.  Keweenaw Peninsula, Upper Michigan.

8.7.13. a. Lynette on the Edge

Love this place. Miles and miles of perfect soft trails in the Copper Country, on a 2 hour run, I only saw one other group of people. I ran with my little sister Lynette, who historically, has always been slower than me, but this time I got my ass kicked.

8.7.13. b. perfect soft trails

I wasn’t too happy about that, and since she didn’t seem to want to wait for me I let her go back to the camp and I continued running, got lost, but was able to find my way back using the strava map app on my phone (I couldn’t get a cell phone signal but the strava worked).

I forgave her for being faster than me, and overall it was a fantastic run.
